There are many ways to give to MBEF.

5) By sharing your time.  MBEF is a parent-run organization that can always use volunteers and expertise.  Click here to share your time.

How does it work?

Donations to MBEF fund our grants for the upcoming school year.  Our Annual Appeal runs from August through January 31.  We raise money in advance so that we are in synch with our schools’ budgeting process, which begins in the spring each year.  By February, we know how much money we have raised and how much we can allocate for grants for the upcoming year.

How much should I give?

We ask parents with a child in elementary or middle school to give $1,000 per child. We ask parents with a child in high school to give $500 per child. This covers the cost of the instruction your child receives from MBEF-funded educators. We understand that not all parents can participate at this level. Please give what you can.  That you give is as important as what you give.  No gift is too small for your child.
