Our School District
The Manhattan Beach Unified School District (MBUSD) has seven schools and an enrollment of 6,580 students. It employs 388 certificated teachers and 279 non-certificated staff. In 2009-2010, MBEF grants of $4.1 million funded 84 (or 13 percent) of these positions, including certificated and non-certificated staff.

Each of our schools has its own representatives to MBEF, listed below. MBEF’s partnership extends to each school’s PTA as well. The PTA president of each of our schools serves on the MBEF Board of Directors for the duration of his/her PTA presidency. Often PTA presidents remain on our board after their PTA term.
